A Big Thank
You.... And A Warm
Welcome
|
|
Thank you to Tom Gaa for your reign as
club president for the last three years.
Tom was instrumental in forming our Hoek
partnership; to insure great coaching
for all our Striker players and give the
club internal support we need. His next
endeavor was creating the Player
Development Academy. Ask any of the
players, the PDA is an enormous success
and we look forward to its expansion
into U8 through U10 over the next two
years. His time and energy was boundless
and we will always be grateful.
We would like to welcome our new MP
Striker’s Club President Steve Ellingson.
Steve has been an active member of the
Striker Board and has been actively
transitioning with Tom over the last six
months. He has been our referee field
coordinator, our club Representative
with the Saltworks, and has one Striker
player (so far!). We look forward to
more successes with your leadership.
A humongous THANK YOU to our Hoek Camp
volunteers who spent endless hours
making this year's camp a success!!!

URGENT --- 3
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
IMMEDIATELY FOR FALL
FIELDS
|
|
1. Liaison with the
City of Menlo Park, perhaps the City of
Redwood City, and all relevant schools
to secure field space for practices and
games.
2. Schedule teams, i.e.
allocate available field space for teams
for practice and games. This job may
involve some up-front research to locate
a web-based solution to streamline the
assignment process, similar to how the
Arbiter has dramatically streamlined the
assignment of refs to games.
3. Equipment. This job
will include the lining of fields as
needed for the first time in the season,
after which lines will be reapplied as
needed by parent volunteers. The job
will also include making sure each field
has the appropriate equipment and locks
in place, and that everyone who needs
the combinations has them.
