After three grueling days of tryouts, these MP Strikers players were selected to be among the top 30 in their respective age groups to train this summer and compete for a spot on the Cal-North State ODP squad next fall. Train hard! Good luck! Go Strikers!

The MP Strikers 98B Blue team, coached by Alessandro Biral, came out on top this weekend at the NorCal Cross Regional Play-Offs. Every season, NorCal brings together the top 8 teams in each age bracket to battle for the cross regional title. After coming off a successful tournament finish as the Tracy Orange Bowl finalists, the 98B Blue boys were ready for a great weekend.

In the single elimination format, the #2 ranked under 11 Strikers faced #7 ranked Milan Forza. After being down 2-0 in the first half, the boys fought back to best the Milan team 7-2. Sunday morning’s battle proved to be a tough and physical game against #3 seed, San Juan. In the 4thminute of a 5 minute overtime, the boys knocked one into the back of the net and held off the opposing attack to bring home a 2-1 victory and a berth into the final game against our local rival, PAC Atlas. Knowing a tough game was ahead, the 98B Blue boys came out strong with two early goals and tough defense. The 60 minute battle ended with the MP Strikers Under 11 Boys besting PAC Atlas with a final score of 4-2. Congratulations on a great win!
